Bend’s Downtown Inspires CITY WALLS at CITY HALL’s New Art Show

City Walls at City Hall’s Art Show, BONDING::WALLS, will highlight the art of thirteen selected artists in an unusual way. Each artist, inspired by the theme “Bend’s Downtown inspires community,” was given a block of Bond or Wall Street to interpret as their artwork. Bond Street artwork will hang in their natural order on one side of City Hall, Wall Street on the other, recreating Bond and Wall inside City Hall, through the eyes of the artists.
Each show selects an artist to be inspired by the Bend 2030 focus area that aligns with the theme. BONDING::WALLS will have its first artist collaboration piece, inspired by the focus area Vibrant Economy.

In addition to the art, a drawing for free gift certificates from a variety of downtown businesses will be held at at each First Friday with the “Meet 4 of the Artists” event on First Friday from 5:30—6:30pm.
The BONDING::WALLS Art Show is up at Bend City Hall thru March 2012,

City Walls at City Hall is a program by The City of Bend Arts, Beautification & Culture Commission. Info:  www.ci.bend.or.us/city_walls_at_hall.html.
