The Rotary Club of Greater Bend was formed in 1976 and has been actively engaged in serving our community ever since. Our goal is to positively impact the lives of families (with an emphasis on children and youth) and we have helped provide vision, energy, coordination and funding for many major projects in the local community and around the world.
We are a club of roughly 125 dedicated professionals who – consistent with Rotary’s mission - share their time, money and resources to help make our community and the world a better place. We are also a “family” of individuals that come together regularly to enjoy camaraderie, fellowship and stimulating and informative weekly presentations.
In 2016-17, we will be expanding the role of our club foundation, helping to support even more students through scholarships. We’ll be making donations to worthy local nonprofits and supporting education, water and health projects abroad. We will focus on New Generations, reinforcing and building on programs that support youth leadership and development. We’ll be hosting an exchange student – Supitcha Putipat (Frong) – from Thailand. Above all, we’ll be raising awareness of our club’s activities, spreading the Rotary message of “service above self.”
If you are interested in supporting or giving back to your community, please consider joining an organization that is actively working to provide a better quality of life for families and youth in need. Feel free to contact us so that we may introduce you to the Rotary Club of Greater Bend.
